A late 19th Century English gilded composition cove shape frame. A classic Victorian frame with original gilt finish, the wide gilt slip has a written painted title, so this will need to be removed or the slip taken out. The high point ornament has a number of losses to the composition, there are also some earlier repairs. The yellow ochre painted sides are showing signs of age but this is quite typical and easy to tidy up. Apart from the ornament missing from the high point, which is not a difficult task to replace, the frame is in very good condition.
