A 19th Century English gilded composition frame. A good example of Victorian frame with gilded finish, nice balanced ornament - not excessive use of different patterns. The frame has a few missing pieces of compo ornament and could do with a clean all over, one corner is partially cleaned revealing the potential color of the gilding. There is one complete corner. One short side has some gesso loss to the side. The inner slip is not removable.
