A 20th Century French Louis XIII Barbizon Montparnasse style frame. Deep moulded plaster ornament of classical C scrolls, flowers, and acanthus leaf mitres. It has some small chips/losses in a few places, and the gesso around the sides has some minor chips. It has a gilt, paint, wash finish, also with a linen slip with gilt/paint hollow sight edge. Yellow ochre painted sides, joined with splines.
