An early to mid 20th Century Louis XIV corner and centre frame which requires restoration. I believe it was made in Sweden, although that is just based on anecdotal information. Lots of cracks in the composition ornament, missing sections, and the sanded panel is lifting away. The running pattern between and the corner/centres is a very stylised low relief design. Despite the obvious areas that need attention, the original gilded finish is good and stable with burnished corners and centres.
