A fine and attractive 18th Century carved Louis XV frame, ref NS82
Some losses to the carved ornament and corners, probably re-gilded in the 19th C, backing frame added later, it looks to me that this frame has been extended by about 4" with the addition of the pierced demi-centres (although they maybe original?) on the long sides, gesso loss in places, and around sides.
